SumSwift Creator Program Terms
Last updated October 25, 2026.
These terms are an agreement between SumSwift Technologies Inc., a British Columbia corporation that runs SumSwift ("SumSwift", "we", "us"), and the person or business who joins the SumSwift Creator Program ("you" or "the creator"). They apply in addition to SumSwift's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If they conflict, these terms prevail for the Creator Program. By joining, you agree to them.
1. Joining
- The program is free. Anyone 18 or older who shares content online can join from sumswift.com/creators.
- You get a personal link (sumswift.com/r/your-code) and a page showing who signed up through it, what you've earned and what we've paid you.
- The program gives you no access to anyone's books or details. You see each business as a number, when it joined and how many months it has paid.
- We may decline an application, or end a creator's participation for breaking these terms, at our discretion.
2. Referred businesses
A business counts as referred by you when someone opens your link and, within 90 days, creates a new SumSwift account in the same browser, and that account is less than 30 days old when the referral is recorded.
A referred business must be genuine, not already a SumSwift customer, and not you or a business you own or control. Each account can be referred once, and the first referral recorded is the one that counts.
3. What your audience gets
A business referred by you gets 20% off its first monthly payment for SumSwift's Monthly plan, if it has never had a SumSwift plan before. The discount doesn't apply to catch-ups or extra years. We may change or end the offer for businesses referred after we announce the change.
4. What you earn
- $10 a month (in Canadian dollars if you live in Canada, US dollars if you live in the United States) for each referred business, for every month it pays for SumSwift's Monthly plan, for as long as it remains a paying customer.
- Each monthly payment a referred business makes counts 30 days after it's paid (once the window for a refund has passed), from its first payment, for as long as it stays. Catch-ups, extra years, refunded payments, payments that fail or are reversed, and free months (including access codes and plans paid by an accounting firm) don't count.
- If a payment is refunded or reversed after we've counted it, we may deduct it from what we owe you.
- If we change the amount, the change only applies to businesses referred after we announce it. Businesses you referred before keep the rate in place when they signed up.
5. Payouts
- We pay early each month for what you're owed, once it reaches $50 (in your currency). In Canada we pay straight to the bank account you connect through Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects your bank and identity details under its own terms (the Stripe Connected Account Agreement); we never see your bank details. Until payouts to your bank are set up, or where Stripe can't pay you, we pay by e-transfer or PayPal instead. In the United States we pay by PayPal, in US dollars, to the PayPal email you give us. Amounts under $50 carry over to the next month.
- You're responsible for any taxes on what you earn, including GST/HST if you're registered in Canada. If you're registered, tell us your GST/HST number and we'll add the tax to payouts.
- We may ask for information we need to pay you or to meet our tax reporting obligations.
6. How you share
- Say you're paid. Whenever you share your link or talk about SumSwift, clearly disclose that you earn from it (for example "#ad", "paid partner" or "I earn from this link"). This is required by Canada's Competition Act and the rules of most platforms.
- Be honest. Only say what SumSwift actually does (as shown on sumswift.com), and don't promise tax results, refunds or savings on our behalf.
- Don't buy ads on the SumSwift name or misspellings of it, don't pretend to be SumSwift, and don't send spam.
- Don't sign up yourself, people you pay, or fake businesses through your link, and don't offer people money to sign up.
7. Ending
You can leave the program at any time by contacting us. We may end your participation if you break these terms. When it ends, we pay what you were owed for businesses already referred, unless it ended because of fraud or a serious breach of section 6.
8. General
You're an independent participant, not our employee, agent or partner. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Questions: hello@sumswift.com.
